I was never a devoted fan, but the news hurt much more than I thought it would. After the initial shock and disbelief, I spent the evening in sadness. Listening to his music again is helping, but just barely.
Everyone has their own special Michael Jackson memory. I remember being terrified of "Thriller", amazed & amused by "Smooth Criminal" & liberated by "Scream". <3
nice painting, i liked his music when i was little too, mostly the songs Beat It, Smooth Criminal, and Black or White. i was in disbelief too when i heard the news. R.I.P. Michael Jackson

This is a really nice painting, really does him justice.
It took me a while to really accept that he had died...it was a shock. I mean, I don't own all his music, but what I do own, I really enjoy. And I have to appreciate what he did for the world of music videos.
You and and me both. I can't believe how much his death is affecting me. I've been listening to his music too lately and it's making me a pretty big fan. I still can't believe he's gone.. I hope he's in a better place now though.

Thanks. I think I'm as perplexed as you. Jackson's an interesting character. An entertainer, a recording artist, and someone whose had nothing but heartache for most of his life. I guess people need to be schooled.
I've been a loyal and loving fan of Michael's since about the age of five. (Going on 16 years.) I'd seen dozens of his music videos on TV and labored to try and replicate his moves. During the trials, I stood by him and reered him on to victory.
And then out of nowhere, the CBS evening news comes on and says he's dead. I literally screamed out JESUS CHRIST and almost fainted.
I just can't get over him, and I never will.
But your art is beautiful, nonetheless. He looks so at peace. Finally.
